Q: Why does the Parents Association of Old Trail
School host the Auction?
A: The Auction is a long-standing tradition at
Old Trail School dedicated to raising funds to support special initiatives and
augment specific areas of the operating budget. This is a fabulous, fun event that brings parents, faculty, staff and friends of the school together to celebrate Old Trail.
The proceeds from the event support student engagement through
innovation and class enrichment programs, supplement special projects requested
at the division level and contribute professional development and endowment
funds for the faculty and staff to strengthen their ability to meet the needs
of our children.
Q: When, Where, and How?
A: This year’s Auction is Saturday March 5, 2016,
6:30 p.m., at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls. Heavy hors d’oeuvres, carving stations, pasta
stations, desserts and beverages will be available for you to enjoy. Cocktail attire is suggested.
Q: In the past, I have been able to specify my table
preference. There was not an option to include this on the registration page. How will this be coordinated?
A: The evening of Celebration is designed to be
comfortable and flexible to visit with many Old Trail School friends. There will not be a sit down meal, so no
formal seating will be established other than the coveted VIP table that is an
auction item favorite!. During the
cocktail and silent auction bidding time, seating areas throughout the Atrium
are available for you to relax and enjoy the evening. The live portion of the Auction, about 30-45
minutes, will be held in the ballroom where you can choose to sit or stand
How do I buy raffle tickets?
There are 4 fantastic raffles this year! You can purchase raffle tickets
in advance online as well as the
night of the Auction. You do not need to be present to win!
Cost per Raffle
Louis Vuitton MM Style handbag
Neil Lane Diamond Necklace
$50 for 1 ticket
$100 for 3 tickets
When will bidding open?
bidding will again be the method for silent auction item bidding. You can pre-register your preferred credit
card during your registration. Official
bidding will open on Thursday March 3, 2016
Do I need to check out at the end of the evening?
A. IF you
establish your preferred credit card during registration or upon arrival at the
event, generally you will NOT need to check out. The mobile bidding technology will reconcile
your transaction and you will be emailed a confirmation receipt along with any
pertinent contact information. IF
however, you have purchased a tangible item that has been displayed at the
venue the night of the Auction, you will be able to take it home with you that
evening simply by stopping by the registration/check out area.
How can I get involved or volunteer?
A: Your time
and talent is our precious resource. If
you are interested in helping with final preparations in the coming weeks, or
the night of/day after the event, please contact one of the Auction Co-Chairs –
Gia Reed or Susan Voth.
There are also many activities throughout the year
where parent participation is greatly appreciated. There is something for everyone based on your
individual interests. For more
information on volunteerism, services, fundraising and events within the
Parents Association please check out the OTSPA
